Pioneer Venture (PV) is a private investment fund formed to positively impact the greater Richmond, Kentucky Region and to help support the mission of Eastern Kentucky University. The fund will focus its investments on suitable opportunities from the faculty, staff, students, alumni, and service region of Eastern Kentucky University, but will consider investing in any business that the members deem suitable to fully deploy its committed capital, from anywhere in the world. The fund is led, designed, and funded by local investors, who assist in identifying, evaluating, and placing private investments. The fund will directly increase the economic growth and performance of the greater Richmond, Kentucky Region and will collectively improve the economic sustainability and prosperity of its residents. The Appalachian Investors Alliance (AIA) are the technical advisors who facilitated the fund formation process and now administer the fund.
